WTF is a hangboard?
That is the very exact question I asked myself when I saw these three guys slung up on a contraption which looked like recovering broken bone victims in a hospital bed. It was over the weekend on my usual trip to Mount Washington, where I saw this Hangboarding contraption. It combines snowboarding, hang gliding and mountain biking. If you like all three, you may like hangboarding, if not, you may just like to get a rush off screaming down a snow covered hill head first. Check out the video and more pics after the jump.

Thats some really cool stuff…whats it like? Is it fun? Looks pretty fun
I saw these last season and they looked to be trying out some ‘rigging’ systems - looks very complicated and bulky - watching them carry those things from the parking lot to the lift you could see the strain. Call me skeptical but show me someone who can ride one for more than a few runs without abdominal pains and I’ll be surprised.
Neat idea but just a novelty that won’t make it to a fad.
Wow that is some wack sh&t right there. Why do people keep trying to re-invent the wheel? Its like a plague in the skate/snow industry. Just another contraption that will fall right along side the snake board.
